How to reach Us
By Car
From Rome / Naples
Take the A1 highway (green sign) northbound to Florence (Firenze), exit at “Orte” and follow E45 freeway (blue sign) towards Perugia first and towards Cesena/Ravenna after.
Exit at “Bosco-Gubbio” and follow the main road (n°298) towards Gubbio.
Just after “Belvedere”, 2 miles straight ahead on your right side, you will see indication for “Castello di Petroia”. Follow the gravel road for about 1.2 km (about 1 mile). The last 100 yards are quite steep and will bring you right in front of the Castle gate. Ring the bell!
From Milano / Bologna
Take the A1 highway (green sign) towards Bologna then, after BOLOGNA take the A14 towards Fano / Ancona. Exit in Fano and follow the signs towards GUBBIO, PERUGIA, ROMA.
When you arrive in Gubbio, follow for “Ancona/Fossato di Vico” and then take the exit towards “Perugia/Roma” – you are on the SS298 – drive for 16 km (about 9 miles), direction Perugia.
Just after “Scritto” village, 1 mile straight ahead on your left side, you will see indication for “Castello di Petroia”. Follow the gravel road for about 1.2 km (about 1 mile). The last 100 yards are quite steep and will bring you right in front of the Castle gate. Ring the bell!
From Florence
Take the A1 highway in the direction of ROMA and then exit at VALDICHIANA. From there take the E45 in the direction of PERUGIA /CESENA. Continue on the same highway, do not take the exit for Perugia, but continue towards CESENA.
Exit at “Bosco-Gubbio” and follow the main road (n°298) towards Gubbio.

From Pescara / Bari
Take the A14 in the direction of BOLOGNA and exit at CIVITANOVA MARCHE –MACERATA. At the roundabout follow for FOLIGNO and then FOLIGNO / MACERATA.
Continue on the same highway for FOLIGNO/TOLENTINO (60 km).
At the end take the exit for FOLIGNO NORD/PERUGIA – continue straight on (you are in highway SS75) in the direction of CESENA/RAVENNA.
Exit at “Bosco-Gubbio” and follow the main road (n°298) towards Gubbio.

By Airplane
Castello di Petroia is 30 km away from the Umbria International airport “San Francesco d’Assisi”.
You can arrive from London, Bruxelles, Fankfurt, ecc. At the airport you can rent a car.
Rome International Airport “Leonardo da Vinci” is 220 km away from Castello di Petroia and Firenze International Airport “Amerigo Vespucci” is 200 km away.
By Train
The closest Train Stations are “Fossato di Vico” and “Perugia – Ponte San Giovanni“. Both of them are about 30 km away from the Castle; to reach us from the train station of Fossato di Vico you need to arrange a taxi pick-up – from Perugia central station you can both take a taxi or rent a car.
