To Gubbio with love

Castello di Petroia is close to Gubbio, one of the most beautiful stone towns in Italy (only 14 km away). It’s well known for its Arts, local products (truffles, saffron, Extra Virgin olive oil..), handicrafts  (pottery, leather goods, etc )  and deeply eradicated historic events, such as the crossbows competition, going on for 600 years.

“To Gubbio with Love” is an organized full day visit of Gubbio on foot, going through its history during the centuries.

You’ll visit two artisan workshops, the most important Museums and sights of interest such as:

• Roman Theatre: chief relic of the ancient town.
• Palazzo dei Consoli: the Archaeological Museum and Art potteries gallery.
• Palazzo Ducale: house of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, born in Castello di Petroia.
• Basilica of Sant Ubaldo – the Saint Patron of Gubbio: here you’ll find the “Ceri” of Gubbio, wooden sticks used for the most important historical event of the year called “La Corsa dei Ceri”

In evening, coming back from Gubbio a special medieval dinner will be prepared for you in our romantic restaurant.
