As most of the medieval fortresses, the Castle is surrounded by an antique farm (600 acres) where you can find a quiet swimming pool, walking trails, our “Chianina” veal cattle, meadows and woods and different species of wild animals.

Here you’ll find a beautiful dark sky to admire stars and constellations far from any light pollution. Castello di Petroia won the prize as one of the most beautiful dark skies of Italy.
